Q: Who should participate in The Change Habitualization Program?

A: The program is open to anyone who is serious about their personal growth and wishes to make meaningful, lasting changes.

It doesn't matter what the specific changes you seek to make - whether it's in the domain of health, like changing negative habits like smoking or taking up a positive habit like exercising or eating healthy... or in the domain of relationships, like controlling your negative emotions or amplifying the positive ones... or in the domain of your work like stopping distractions, disorganization and being more focused, more organized ... etc.

We have worked with all types of change efforts, as the program is customized to whatever change you seek to make - in the context of your life. We will support you to think more precisely about the change you want and then set up a habitualization plan for making it happen.

From our experience this usually has attracted positive, already successful individuals, who seek to improve a particular aspects of their lives - so we've worked with managers, teachers, scientists, various types of service personnel, IT specialists, health care providers, artists, performers, entrepreneurs and so on. In essence, anyone who wants to be a better person, to improve an aspect of their life and release more of their potential.

Q: What's so different about The Change Habitualization Program, from all other options available?

A: All this is explained in-depth on the page about joining the program.

But I would like to add to this, that what is unique about the The Change Habitualization Program, is that it offers a profound understanding of your fundamental capacity for excellence and personal achievement. This is a program that puts fundamentals first.

Furthermore, in 'The Four Faculties" members web, you have set up in a cohesive unit, all the essential habits for Greatness. There are no programs that we are aware of, that give you all the proven and time tested essentials, in such a package.

The Change Habitualization Program will help you to put a self-actualizing philosophy, into action. Through exercises, meditations and coaching sessions, you'll gain experientially the sense of empowerment which many books talk about, but fail to show you 'how to internalize'.

Q: What's so important about this program, when there are so many other personal development courses to choose from?

A: There are many other great programs out there and they suit the individual at whatever stage of their life they are at. I believe there are no accidents and whatever program you're attracted to or ends up in your life, it is there for a reason.

In my opinion, what is essential in all programs, whether they are in education, personal development, fitness... etc - is a strong commitment to the fundamentals. You want a program that utilizes the 80/20 rule - i.e. one that maximizes 'the vital few vs the trivial many' principle.

The 80/20 principle states that in life, not everything is of equal value. 20% of all your actions produce 80 of all your results. Conversely the other 80% produces only 20% of the results.
Most companies manage according to this principle. They have realized that about 20% of the faults in a product line are responsible for 80% of the complaints. Through this understanding, they first eliminate the critical 20% of flaws, and thus have solved 80% of the problems. By focusing on the most important faults first, they rapidly improve their quality control.

You can recognize this principle in your life, when you consider that in your daily schedule, you probably have about 20% of the hours that contribute for 80% of your results. And conversely, the other 80% of your day is spent on more trivial activities that only produce 20% of your results.

This program is based on this critical 20-80 principle and I recommend that if you begin to work with us, to focus on the one change that will make 80% of the difference. If you don't know what this is, we'll help you to locate it.

Not everything is of equal value. It is important that we dedicate our time and energy on that critical 20%. This is an important distinction and is only available when working with a customized program such as this.

Q: What is the most valuable quality that I must have in beginning The Change Habitualization Program?

A: 'Courage' noted Winston Churchill, is 'rightly esteemed as the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees all others'. It is from within courage that all the highest states of being like love, peace and joy are realized.

At the beginning of this program, it is inevitable then that doubts and fears are going to play on your mind. You perhaps might feel daunted to talk to some stranger about your problem... you might feel hesitant because you don't know what to expect... you might be apprehensive whether to trust, whether it's worth it, whether it will work ... and so on.

But we must have the courage to go beyond our fears, to try new things, to feel the fear and do it anyway -- in order to be something more than our conditioning. The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.

For what is ultimately more scary - having tried and leaned something in the process or in having fear run you life?

One thought that has helped me with my own fear of failure, fear of rejection and so on, was to realize that when I don't ask, the answer is automatically no. At least if I have the courage to go forth, I have a possibility for a YES.

Another important thing to keep in mind, is that the environments in which we live in - are most often unsupportive of personal growth and self-actualization. Society on the whole, does not encourage growth, genius and greatness.

As almost all philosophers have observed, it is a system that seeks safety and mediocrity. It teaches conformity. It applies implicit and explicit force on individuals to be, think and act just like everyone else. Egos love to believe they're great already and don't want to have a mirror around, to show their own short comings...

It takes courage therefore to also break the mould that we have implicitly and explicitly placed upon us on who we can be - on what we should or shouldn't do in this pursuit.

Courage in often cases is needed in the social dimension too. We must have the courage to risk criticism, to risk looking 'uncool', to risk the safety of numbers and in not doing what others think you should be doing with your life.

This is actually a major factor for why many betray their 'soul instinct'. This is a major factor why only a few in each generation express their genius!

Q: What is recommended to make this program work best?

A: To make this program really work is simple, and yet it is also very challenging. What makes this program truly transformational is the willingness to learn with an open mind. This is often easier said than done.

Since it's the past perceptions that are often limiting us, learning with an open mind, means that we don't allow past paradigms to distort the message 'presented presently'. When we think we 'already know', we fail to bring sufficient attention, in order to be affected by the message. When we judge based upon past learning, we but reinforce the past - and make little gains from the present.

Remember, our past mindset and perception is already given.
We always have them to fall back on, because they're automatic.
To really learn a subject well, we need to consciously suspend our pre-conceptions, - even if for the time being. The best learning experiences happen when we allow ourselves to really listen - presently - as if hearing anew.

This means that we have to be willing to suspend the paradigms that we have 'sculptured' our reality with, both good and bad. Our greatest fears, are not the fears of the 'unknown', but the fear of loosing what 'we think we know'.

Therefore be open to the coaching, the readings and the meditative experiences here. Observe your own mental patterns and catch yourself when you're not being present... In that moment, you have just become present.
Q: I've participated in other programs and they all made large promises, but have been disappointed by their results.
What can I expect from this program?

A: If you have previously read other self-help books and tried to make changes only to return to the old habits, you have addressed a very important point: 'Why are behavioral changes but temporary?'

In understanding this problem, we have the key to finding an authentic resolve - for most experience personal changes as temporary - i.e. as a yo-yoing effect between two states: the problem state, and the 'idealized state'.

It doesn't matter in what aspect of life one has tried to make changes - whether in the domain of physical health, or finances, or relationships, or learning. This problem is not only common, but is the core characteristic of 'solutions' that don't understand, nor address what is inherently problematic.

If you follow the principles outlined in most self-help books, you can only expect temporary results. That may be a startling statement, but it really represents a very common experience.

Why? Because the solution is almost always partial. When anyone tries to formulate a structure for changing attitudes or behaviors, separated from 'the whole', it eventually crumbles, because it does not take into account the many other forces that come into play. It fails to understand the context in which it acts.

Setting a goal or an affirmation, for the sake of having a direction, doesn't resolve anything - if not in-line with our rational conscience and self-awareness.

Without this context of purpose and awareness of self - goals are meaningless. We need to directly experience our highest faculties. It is only within this orientation that mental training tools can effectively transform anything.

All this is actually covered in great depth in the workbook of our program. There are three lessons for example that center on this issue and how to resolve it.

Learning is like rowing upstream;
not to advance is to drop back.
